It’s day 3 of the 12 Days of Gratitude challenge! Today’s prompt is:

Reflect.

March was a big month of letting go for me. It was a time to look back and remember all the good, and maybe not so good times that I had growing up.

This picture is the last one I’d ever take on this balcony after 13 years. I’d cried there, wished on countless stars, hid from the world, kissed my first love while dancing in the rain, had heart-to-hearts with best friends, and family at times. This was where is all happened for the first time for me.

Obviously, letting it go was very difficult. But I was so grateful to spend this last moment remembering how much this place shaped me, and helped me grow into who I am.

My childhood wasn’t easy as most aren’t, but it wasn’t half bad either. I was very fortunate to have a place like that to return to.

I’m excited, and very grateful to create more places, and memories that I can reflect on in the future.

Now it’s your turn!

What kind of reflecting do you turn to to find some clarity in your everyday life? What’s your fondest memory that can always bring you to a happy state?

Share your responses in the comments, or share them on social media using the hashtag #grateful2020 so I can track your progress!
