I think one of my hardest tasks in therapy has been to turn irrational thought into rational affirmation.

It’s easy to give into confusing, or frustrating circumstances. Especially when we feel wronged by others, or even the Universe. But it’s perfectly normal to feel a little more, or a little less at times. The important thing is to pull yourself out of it with the right tools so that the next time you’re faced with a confusing situation similar to what you already experienced, you’re ready to handle it.

It’s called Mindfulness, and it is a powerful tool.

I’ll be honest; this will work for some, but not all, and you have to give this, and yourself a real chance to learn something. You have to be honest with your emotions, and it will take practice, and patience. But it works for me, and I hope you get something out of it.

I’m going through a bit of a rut myself right now struggling with old emotions, and new challenges. But I trust in this way of thinking enough to know I will get through it, and you can too. Give it a shot, even once, and I would love to hear what it accomplishes for you.

The worksheet is attached below. Print a new one every time you visit this practice, and save ONLY the last box when you’re done. Trust me. It’s all you’ll need.

Much love,

Jackie Marie xoxo
